On 05/27/25, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the South Ellis County public water system to issue a boil water notice.
As of 05/29/25, Customers with service on on Derrs Chapel Rd {southeast of hwy 77), HWY 34, S Ward ST, Seay Rd, Judys Ln, Morgan Rd, Joanna Ln, Stafford St, Harris Rd, Rossen Rd, Dale Acres Rd {southeast of hwy 77), Lowell Rd, Arthur Ln, Hamrock Rd, George Scott Blvd, Hooser Rd, FM 667, Whiterock Rd, Dianna Lynn Rd, Shield Rd, and Northwest County Road 4425, Northwest County Rd 4420, FM 308 South, Richland Bend Rd, Marble Ln, Lowell Rd, Cosby Rd, Wray Rd, Maiors Rd, County Rd 4370, and County Rd 4410 are no longer required to boil water.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling.
