We have successfully fixed the major leak and currently have a temporary pump in operation. It will take some time for the well to fill and the pressure to build back up, but we expect to have our water fully restored throughout the day.
We kindly ask that you remain considerate of your water usage until our permanent water pump is installed. However, if everything proceeds smoothly without any new issues, everyone should have normal water pressure by the end of today, Wednesday, July 23rd, 2025.
If you have any questions or notice that you are still without water after tonight, please give us a call and let us know.
Please be aware that we are receiving a high volume of phone calls and do not have enough staff to answer them all. If you call and are unable to get through, we appreciate your patience and encourage you to try again.
Thank you for your understanding.
Sincerely,
South Ellis County WSC

Update: A pump will be delivered tomorrow afternoon to assist with our current water shortage. Please note that this is just a temporary solution until our larger pump arrives next week. In the meantime, we kindly ask everyone to be mindful of their water usage until the problem is completely fixed next week. Thank you for your understanding!

We have identified a significant leak that we are in the process of repairing. We believe this leak may be the root cause of our ongoing issues. Additionally, due to the strain on her system this week, our well's pump went out today. We have placed an order for replacement, but we expect to experience low pressure or a complete outage until Monday. We will keep everyone updated and send out a new alert if anything changes.
Again we apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we are working hard to resolve this issue.

We are aware that many of you have been with little to no water today. We are still working hard to find the source of the problem. As of today we will be pulling water from our 308 well to help with the 77 well side. This may effect anyone on our system. Please bear with us until this gets resolved. Also again at 10:00 p.m. tonight, July 21, 2025, we will shut down Well 77. The well will be allowed to refill from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at 7:00 AM, we will restart Well 77, unless water levels drop too low, which would necessitate another shutdown.
We kindly ask that everyone on our whole system conserve water and limit usage to essential needs until we identify the source of the problem.
If you have noticed any leaks in your area, please call us on our emergency line at 469-570-5818. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding as we work to resolve this issue.
Sincerely,
South Ellis County Water Supply Corporation
