We are currently experiencing a water outage affecting all residents located on the southeast side of Highway 77. We have encountered a major line break and are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. At this time, we do not have an estimated time for when the water will be restored, but please be assured that we are doing our best to fix it promptly.

Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems 08/06/25
This information only pertains to those located on the southeast side of Highway 77.
Due to a water outage, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the South Ellis County public water system to notify all customers on Derrs Chapel Rd {southeast of hwy 77), HWY 34, S Ward ST, Seay Rd, Morgan Rd {southeast of hwy 77) , Joanna Ln, Stafford St, Harris Rd, Rossen Rd, Dale Acres Rd {southeast of hwy 77), Lowell Rd, Arthur Ln, Hamrock Rd, George Scott Blvd, Hooser Rd, FM 667, Whiterock Rd, Dianna Lynn Rd, Shield Rd, and Northwest County Road 4425, FM 308 South, Cosby Rd, Wray Rd, Majors Rd. to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.)
To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.
Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.

On 07/16/25, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the South Ellis County public water system to issue a boil water notice.
As of 08/01/25, Customers with service on on Derrs Chapel Rd {southeast of hwy 77), HWY 34, S Ward ST, Seay Rd, Judys Ln, Morgan Rd, Joanna Ln, Stafford St, Harris Rd, Rossen Rd, Dale Acres Rd {southeast of hwy 77), Lowell Rd, Arthur Ln, Hamrock Rd, George Scott Blvd, Hooser Rd, FM 667, Whiterock Rd, Dianna Lynn Rd, Shield Rd, and Northwest County Road 4425, Northwest County Rd 4420, FM 308 South, Richland Bend Rd, Marble Ln, Lowell Rd, Cosby Rd, Wray Rd, Maiors Rd, are no longer required to boil water.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling.
