Boil Water Notice for Community Public Water Systems 10/29/25 

Due to low distribution pressure and water outage, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality has required the South Ellis County public water system to notify all customers on Derrs Chapel Rd {southeast of hwy 77), HWY 34, S Ward ST, Seay Rd, Judys Ln, Morgan Rd, Joanna Ln, Stafford St, Harris Rd, Rossen Rd, Dale Acres Rd {southeast of hwy 77), Lowell Rd, Arthur Ln, Hamrock Rd, George Scott Blvd, Hooser Rd, FM 667, Whiterock Rd, Dianna Lynn Rd, Shield Rd, and Northwest County Road 4425, Northwest County Rd 4420, FM 308 South, Richland Bend Rd, Marble Ln, Lowell Rd, Cosby Rd, Wray Rd, Maiors Rd, County Rd 4370, and County Rd 4410 to boil their water prior to consumption (e.g., washing hands/face, brushing teeth, drinking, etc.)

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking, and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes. The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

Once the boil water notice is no longer in effect, the public water system will issue a notice to customers that rescinds the boil water notice in a manner similar to this notice.

77 Well Shut Down

October 28, 2025

We are currently experiencing a water outage affecting all residents located on the southeast side of Highway 77. We have encountered a major line break and are actively working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We expect the water to be restored within the next few hours, as long as no other problems arise. Please be assured that we are doing our best to fix it promptly.
