Base Rate Adjustment - Capital Improvement

NOTICE OF RATE ADJUSTMENT

Effective September 1, 2026

The South Ellis County WSC Board of Directors has approved an adjustment to the rate increase that became effective on May 1, 2026.

Following additional review, the Board determined that the previous rate structure should be revised to create a more equitable distribution of the Capital Improvements Base Rate among all meter sizes.

Under the May 1, 2026 rate increase, the 5/8" meter experienced a 33.9% increase, while larger meter sizes did not increase proportionately. Effective September 1, 2026, the Board has adopted a uniform 30% Capital Improvements Base Rate increase across all meter sizes.

As a result, 5/8" meter customers will see a reduction in their monthly base rate, while larger meter sizes will be adjusted to reflect the same 30% increase, creating a fair and consistent rate structure for all members.
